Maui Wowie
Grown on Maui and known by the late 1960s and 1970s, when travelers carried it to the mainland.
Leafly calls it Hawaiian crossed with an unknown strain; other guides say it was grown out of Hawaiian landrace plants. The exact line is not documented.
